FundQuest's specific areas of concentration include: the history and backgrounds of the firm and its key investment personnel, firm asset breakdown, investment process, client service capabilities, and future business plans.

An analyst team may make on-site visits to firms. Specific areas addressed include further clarification to questions in step 3, investment and support operations, systems, and additional resources

All due diligence is completed and documented, and final recommendations are developed. The recommendations are presented to the Investment Policy Committee, which reviews the results.

The process includes monitoring performance of portfolios, and keeping current on activities within the investment firm that may affect performance.
